Swine Flu Crisis affects all British holiday makers to Mexico
For anyone considering travelling to Mexico this May Bank Holiday weekend and indeed, in the near future, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) has reissued travel advice advising against all non-essential travel to Mexico.
All tour operators providing package holidays to Mexico are currently reviewing their position, but you are unlikely to be allowed to travel with your package tour operator.
While this advice remains in place, customers of ABTA tour operators who have booked package holidays will be entitled to receive suitable alternative arrangements, or a full refund.
Thousands of British holidaymakers in Mexico are now preparing to cut short their holidays, with thousands more stranded in the UK following this reissued travel advice.
Holidays to the United States are currently unaffected by this advice, but any part of your itinerary which may involve a visit to Mexico will not be able to now go ahead. The travel advice will be reviewed going forward and any announcement will be made in due course.
