Israel Set for Bumper Tourist Year

The Israeli government has forecast recently that Israel is likely to be hit by more tourists than any previous year thus far.

From January 2008 to July 2008 approximately 1.7 million tourists visiting Israel.  That is a massive 40 per cent up on the same period recorded in the previous year when Israel received around 1 million visitors.

Glasgow, City of Music

The much coveted title of Unesco City of Music has been presented officially to the city of Glasgow in Scotland.

Bob Winter, the Lord Provost of Glasgow accepted the award this month.  The award was handed over by Koichiro Matsuura, Unensco’s director general, at a lunch in ceremony of the occasion.

The Beautiful Dominican Republic

Vietnam Sees a Rise in Tourism

This month it was revealed that more than 2.6 million travelers visited Vietnam in the first half of 2008.

This is information released by the General Statistics Office and according to previous results this is a massive ten percent increase on the results of last year for the same time period.
