The Icelandic volcano which erupted two days ago is still causing chaos for travellers all over Europe. The ash cloud resulting from the eruption has meant that all flights in the UK were grounded yesterday.
It was hoped that many flights from airports across England would be up and running again at some point today, however only a few specially-authorised services have been allowed to operate from Manchester, in addition to some services operating in Ireland and Scotland.
Now it seems that the disruptions to all flights in England and across most of northern Europe could continue over the whole of the coming weekend, possibly until the middle of next week.
The World Health Organisation has also warned that the volcanic ash could be hazardous once it settles on the ground.

Those fans planning to attend the World Cup this summer in South Africa have been reminded by travel insurance provider AXA to get the right policy before travelling.
This warning comes amidst fears that many people will leave this essential task till the last minute and arrive in the country unprepared. It is a well known fact that tourists will be a target for thieves operating in areas where the football matches are due to take place.
Alison Patrick, head of travel at the firm has explained:
“It is really important people understand the risks and that they mitigate those risks by being sensible while they’re away and taking out some insurance before they go.”
England supporters have been told to compare travel insurance providers to get a comprehensive policy that will sufficiently cover them for the trip.
